Job Summary
The Kinderzentrum Ludwigshafen is seeking a Head of Accounting to lead their finance department on a project-based contract for up to five years. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting. You will be responsible for optimizing accounting processes, supporting the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Additionally, you will lead and train staff, manage internal and external audits, and serve as a deputy for the Controlling department head. This position is ideal for an organized finance professional with leadership experience who thrives in a structured, collaborative environment. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Public Management; OR completed vocational training in tax/accounting; OR qualification as a certified administrative or business specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt/Wirtschaftsfachwirt).
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in accounting within the public sector
- Professional experience in leading and managing teams
- Professional experience in process development and organizational optimization
- Professional experience in collaborating with internal and external audit bodies
