Job Summary

As a Tax Assistant specializing in M&A and succession consulting, you will play a key role in an interdisciplinary firm of tax advisors, auditors, and lawyers. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve preparing tax-optimized solutions for complex corporate transactions, restructurings, and company successions. You will conduct business and real estate valuations, prepare gift and inheritance tax returns, and manage annual financial statements and tax filings. Working closely with experienced professionals, you will support the development of binding tax information and monitor compliance with holding periods. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys navigating complex tax law and values a collaborative, modern, and flexible working environment. You will have the opportunity to engage directly with clients and contribute to strategic corporate development while utilizing digital workflows.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Business Administration, Law, or Business Law; or completion of the advanced civil service examination in tax administration (Diplom-Finanzwirt); or completed vocational training as a Tax Clerk (Steuerfachangestellte:r).

Experience

  • Professional experience in the preparation of annual financial statements
  • Knowledge of German tax law, specifically the Reorganization Tax Act (UmwStG) and Inheritance and Gift Tax Act (ErbStG)
  • Interest in international tax law and cross-border mandates
