Job Summary

As an Acoustics Engineer in Hamburg, you will play a critical role in ensuring the acoustic performance of maritime systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting acoustic measurements during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Harbor Acceptance Tests (HAT), and Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT). You will perform air-borne, structure-borne, and foundation impedance measurements in accordance with DIN standards and naval specifications. Beyond data collection, you will analyze mechanical impedance, document findings in PLM systems like DoorsNG, and perform root-cause analysis when limit values are exceeded. This position is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys both technical office work and field operations, including travel to shipyards and participation in sea trials. You will collaborate closely with an expert acoustics team to maintain high quality standards. Required Skills

Education

University degree (TU/FH, Dipl.-Ing., Master) or certified Technician qualification in a relevant engineering field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in acoustic measurement and testing
  • Experience working with technical drawings, specifically in shipbuilding
  • Experience with ITAR regulations
  • Proven ability to work independently and analytically

Languages

English (Fluent)

Additional

  • Willingness to travel to shipyards and participate in sea trials (national & international). Knowledge of ITAR regulations is required.
