Job Summary
The City of Sprockhövel is seeking an Energy Manager to lead the development and implementation of a municipal energy management system. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining energy and consumption controlling, analyzing energy and water usage data, and coordinating energy-saving initiatives across various municipal properties, including schools, administrative buildings, and sports facilities. You will act as a key advisor for energy-related renovations and collaborate closely with external service providers and internal departments. This position is vital for the city's commitment to climate protection, requiring a structured, independent approach to project management and data analysis. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape sustainable infrastructure within a dynamic public sector environment, with the potential for long-term integration into the city's permanent administrative structure.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in civil, energy, environmental, supply, or building engineering (or comparable); alternatively, a technical vocational qualification with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in energy management or energy controlling
- Professional experience in building, energy, environmental, or supply engineering
- Experience in coordinating technical renovations or projects

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to undergo further training. Certification in energy efficiency for public buildings is desirable. Work permit for Germany is required.
