Job Summary
The Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden (SKD) is seeking an IT Security and Network Administrator to manage and secure their critical IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a highly secure, isolated network environment to protect sensitive data and museum assets. Your day-to-day duties will involve administering physical and virtual server landscapes, managing complex network configurations (switching, routing, firewalls), and overseeing backup and recovery strategies. You will also handle 2nd and 3rd-level support, user management via AD/LDAP, and proactive monitoring to ensure system stability. This is a unique opportunity to work within one of the world's most significant museum networks, contributing to the protection of cultural heritage through robust IT security practices. The position requires a high level of responsibility, analytical troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to maintaining rigorous security standards in a professional, public-sector environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a focus on system administration, IT security, or network technology.
Experience
- Professional experience in the administration of Windows and Linux server environments.
- Professional experience with virtualization technologies and high-availability cluster solutions.
- Professional experience in managing complex network infrastructures and security-critical environments.
- Professional experience in log and event analysis, monitoring, and incident management.
- Professional experience in project management and technical documentation.

- Must be eligible to work in Germany. Willingness to participate in on-call duty (Rufbereitschaft) is required. The position is initially limited to two years, with the aim of long-term cooperation.
