Job Summary
The Municipality of Barsbüttel is seeking an IT System Administrator to join their central IT department. In this full-time, permanent role, you will be responsible for maintaining and advancing the municipal IT infrastructure, with a specialized focus on supporting public educational institutions and administrative facilities. Your day-to-day duties will involve providing 1st and 2nd-level support, managing Windows clients and iOS devices via MDM, configuring network components, and overseeing presentation technology. You will also play a key role in IT projects, coordinating with external service providers and conducting user training. This position is unique as it offers a stable career path within the German public sector (TVöD), providing a balance of technical hands-on work and project management in a modern, educational-focused environment. The role requires a strong service-oriented mindset, technical proficiency in network and mobile device management, and the ability to work independently in a structured manner.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration) or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT system integration or IT support
- Experience in collaborating with external service providers
- Experience in the IT environment of educational institutions is considered a plus

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Must be able to work in a municipal government environment. Professional proficiency in German (C1 level) is mandatory.
