Job Summary

As a Sales Manager for Chemical Intermediates at IMCD, you will play a pivotal role in the Industrial Solutions, Lubricants & Energy business unit. Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing and expanding customer relationships, providing technical and commercial consultation, and executing sales strategies across Germany. You will identify market trends, conduct competitive analysis, and actively acquire new business while maintaining existing accounts. Success in this role requires a blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen, along with the ability to negotiate effectively and represent the company at industry events. You will work closely with the sales team and report to the Head of Sales. This position is unique because it offers the flexibility of working from Cologne, Hamburg, or remotely, while providing the opportunity to drive business development within a leading global distribution partner for specialty chemicals.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in natural sciences or engineering, or comparable professional qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the distribution of chemical raw materials or specialty chemicals for industrial applications.
  • Proven experience in the Chemical Intermediates sector is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in sales, customer acquisition, and account management.
  • Experience in conducting technical and commercial negotiations.
