Job Summary
As a System Engineer for Managed Systems and IaaS, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining, optimizing, and advancing high-availability infrastructure environments. Your daily responsibilities include the installation and configuration of VMware ESXi and vCenter, the administration of virtual and physical hosts, and the management of storage solutions (SAN/VSAN, NAS). You will implement robust backup strategies using Veeam, manage Windows Active Directory environments, and ensure network stability through Layer 2 switching and VLAN oversight. Additionally, you will be responsible for system monitoring, KPI reporting, and providing 2nd/3rd level support while adhering to strict SLAs and security standards. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a structured, modern IT environment. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training or university degree in Computer Science, System Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Professional experience in system administration or IaaS environments

- Experience in managing Windows Server and Active Directory environments
- Experience with backup strategy implementation and restoration testing

- Valid work permit for Germany is required. This position is offered via temporary employment with the option for permanent takeover.
