Job Summary

As a Research Associate in Renewable Energy, you will play a critical role in evaluating and monitoring publicly funded energy research projects. Your daily responsibilities include the scientific and technical review of interim and final progress reports, assessing projects for their goal achievement and potential for practical application, and analyzing how individual initiatives contribute to broader energy program objectives. You will work within an interdisciplinary team of eleven scientific staff members, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate holds a degree in engineering or natural sciences and possesses a structured, reliable approach to work. While a PhD is considered an asset, it is not mandatory. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract status, the flexibility of working from home up to four days per week, and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact energy research in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Engineering or Natural Sciences. A PhD is advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

  • Professional experience in engineering or natural sciences research
  • Experience in project management is highly desirable
  • Knowledge regarding project funding for publicly financed research
  • Familiarity with budgetary and administrative law is considered an asset
