As a Materials Tester in the mechanical engineering sector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of transmission components. Your daily responsibilities include performing non-destructive testing using magnetic particle and dye penetrant inspection methods. You will be responsible for evaluating results, documenting findings, and maintaining accurate records within SAP. Additionally, you will operate overhead cranes to transport heavy components weighing up to 30 tons. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a background in metalworking or materials testing who is comfortable working in a three-shift rotation. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Materials Tester, Industrial Mechanic, Machining Mechanic, or Metalworker is preferred but not mandatory; ISO 9712 Level 2 certification for non-destructive testing (NDT) is required.

Experience

  • Professional experience in materials testing is considered an advantage
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing or metalworking environments
  • Practical experience in operating crane systems for heavy components

Languages

  • Valid crane operator license (Kranschein), willingness to work in a 3-shift system, work authorization for Germany.
