Job Summary
The Department of Sustainable and Bioinspired Materials at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join the ArCeS project. In this role, the candidate will conduct interdisciplinary research focused on understanding the molecular processes of cellulose biocrystallization to develop sustainable functional materials. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging in advanced electron microscopy research, collaborating within an international team, and contributing to the scientific goals of the Soft Matter Electron Microscopy Group. Candidates should possess a strong academic background in biophysics, materials science, or a related field, along with a keen interest in soft matter characterization.
