Job Summary
The South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences is seeking an IT Project Coordinator to lead the restructuring of IT services within the Department of Agricultural Economics at the Soest campus. In this role, you will act as a key advisor to the dean's office, evaluating current IT processes for future-readiness in teaching and research. Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing hardware and software deployment, maintaining IT security and data backup systems, and providing on-site support for staff and faculty. You will serve as the primary bridge between the department and the central university administration, ensuring seamless IT operations. This position is ideal for an organized IT professional who thrives in a collaborative, service-oriented academic environment. You will be responsible for streamlining technical workflows and assisting new personnel with university IT services. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in the IT field, such as a qualified IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) in System Integration, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT administration or service desk environments
- Several years of professional experience in the IT sector preferred
- Experience or knowledge in server and desktop virtualization considered a plus

- Must be based at the university location in Soest for a significant portion of the work. The position is limited to a two-year contract under the TV-L public service collective agreement. Ability to work in a team and handle high-stress situations is required.
