Job Summary

As a Control and Protection (C&P) Engineer specializing in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems at Siemens Energy, you will play a pivotal role in the simulation, modeling, and control engineering of energy transmission infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing complex models of HVDC systems using MATLAB/Simulink and PSCAD/EMTDC, as well as integrating advanced grid-forming control concepts. You will conduct stability analyses and assess reactive power requirements to ensure the robustness of energy supply networks. Required Skills

Education

Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in modeling of converters (HVDC, WTG, etc.)
  • Professional experience in power electronics and control engineering
  • Professional experience in grid calculation and stability analysis
  • Professional experience in simulation software including PSCAD and MATLAB/Simulink
