Job Summary
As a Molecular Biology Specialist at the State Enterprise for Environment and Agriculture (BfUL), you will play a critical role in ensuring product integrity and consumer safety. Your daily responsibilities involve conducting molecular biological analyses of seeds and animal feed to detect genetically modified organisms (GMOs), as well as establishing microbiological methods for identifying pathogens and hygiene indicators. You will lead the S1 laboratory facility, manage PCR-based analytical workflows, and ensure compliance with EU and national regulations. The role requires a collaborative approach, as you will coordinate with reference laboratories, participate in national expert committees, and guide staff members. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Master's or Diploma) in Biology, Biotechnology, or a closely related scientific field. Accredited Master's degrees from universities of applied sciences are accepted.
Experience
- Professional experience in molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, or virology required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in genetic engineering or related laboratory fields preferred.
- Experience working within an accredited analytical laboratory environment.
- Experience in quality assurance processes within a laboratory setting.

- Must hold a degree from an accredited institution. Proficiency in standard office software and web-based research databases is required. Ability to work in a S1 laboratory environment.
