Job Summary

This role is for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to play a pivotal part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and operational excellence of Mercedes-Benz's Retail of the Future IT landscape. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between development and operations, overseeing industry-standard SRE practices across multiple application products and families. Day-to-day tasks involve implementing monitoring, incident response, and automation, scaling systems sustainably, standardizing SRE and Ops practices, and improving observability. The role requires strong technical consulting and hands-on implementation skills, guiding distributed product teams while applying SRE best practices. This includes deploying advanced monitoring solutions, developing and executing scalable load, performance, and recovery tests, and conducting post-mortem analyses to identify improvements.
