This pivotal role as an Integrated Release Manager involves orchestrating application deployments across the 'Retail of the Future' IT landscape for Mercedes-Benz, ensuring seamless integration into larger software releases. The successful candidate will set technical standards, enforce quality benchmarks, and drive efficient deployment and release processes. This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on methods to build and maintain reliable deployment and release processes, working closely with portfolio and lifecycle management to enable stable releases in international markets. The role requires guiding distributed product teams, promoting automated quality assurance, and collaborating with various IT teams to shape the future of Mercedes-Benz sales.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, or a related STEM field
Experience
- 5+ years in IT infrastructure management with a strong understanding of coordination between system releases, rollout, and testing
- Professional experience with Mercedes-Benz Sales IT setup and architecture
- Professional experience in IT operations and infrastructure management, including cloud services and on-premises systems
- Professional experience with managing and deploying infrastructure through code in multi-cloud environments
- Proven track record in managing complex software projects
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Practical experience with Contract-Testing solutions
- Professional experience with SRE practices
- Hands-on experience with Cloud and DevOps mentality and expertise in cloud platforms
- Practical experience with programming, scripting, and/or automation
