Job Summary
As the Head of Facility Management and Building Maintenance, you will lead a team of eight professionals in a dynamic environment undergoing significant infrastructure transformation, including the development of a new, highly functional campus. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve overseeing building maintenance, financial planning for facility operations, and acting as the primary representative for construction projects. You will drive the digitalization of facility processes, including the implementation of BIM methodologies. This role is ideal for an experienced technical leader who thrives on interdisciplinary collaboration and wants to make a tangible impact on urban infrastructure and sustainability. You will be responsible for managing external contractors, ensuring the seamless operation of technical facilities, and guiding the team through complex organizational shifts. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in a technical or engineering discipline (e.g., Architecture, Civil Engineering, Technical Building Services, or Industrial Engineering with a focus on construction). Possession of or willingness to obtain building submission authorization (Bauvorlageberechtigung) according to AKNW/IKBauNRW.
Experience
- Professional experience in facility management, building operations, or maintenance.
- Experience in independently preparing and submitting building permit applications.
- Leadership experience in managing technical teams.
- Ideally, experience working within the public sector.
