Job Summary

The Weilheim Water Management Office is seeking a Civil Engineer for a fixed-term project position focused on dam infrastructure. In this role, you will support the end-to-end execution of construction projects for the Free State of Bavaria, ranging from planning and preparation to implementation. You will act as the owner's representative, overseeing construction supervision, coordinating preliminary site investigations, and managing external engineering firms. A key part of your day-to-day will involve preparing design and tender documents, navigating approval processes for water storage facilities, and ensuring compliance with standards such as DIN 19700. You will also be responsible for the digital maintenance of existing site plans and conducting technical inspections. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to environmental water management projects within a supportive public sector team, providing a balance of office-based project management and on-site field coordination.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelor or Dipl.-Ing. FH or equivalent).

Experience

  • Professional experience in civil engineering, specifically in water management and hydraulic structures.
  • Experience in the design and assessment of dam facilities according to DIN 19700.
  • Experience in construction supervision and site management.
  • Experience in managing external engineering service providers and coordination of approval processes.

  • Valid driver's license (Class B) required. Ability to perform field work (Außendiensttauglichkeit) is mandatory. Position is fixed-term until December 31, 2032.
