Job Summary

The Koblenz Police Headquarters is seeking a dedicated IT System and User Support Specialist to join their First-Level Support team in Mayen. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for approximately 2,700 employees, providing essential technical guidance and troubleshooting for their IT workstations. Your daily responsibilities include installing and maintaining hardware and software, managing user accounts and permissions via Active Directory, performing system monitoring, and executing data backups. A unique aspect of this position is the opportunity to provide technical support for specialized police operations, which may involve mobile network deployments and occasional weekend or on-call duties. We are looking for a professional with a solid background in IT, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in an IT-related field (e.g., IT Specialist/Fachinformatiker) or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in information technology, ideally through a completed vocational qualification (e.g., IT Specialist/Fachinformatiker) or equivalent long-term practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting Microsoft Windows environments, specifically Windows 11.
  • Experience in managing user accounts and permissions within an enterprise network environment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a professional setting.
