Job Summary
In this role, you will play a central part in the technical maintenance and further development of electrical infrastructure, including substations and remote control technology. Your daily responsibilities involve a mix of on-site operations and conceptual work, such as integrating modern SCADA and communication systems. You will manage maintenance, troubleshoot electrical faults, coordinate external service providers, and ensure compliance with safety standards like DIN VDE 0105. Additionally, you will handle the commissioning of communication infrastructures and support the implementation of monitoring systems. This position is ideal for a hands-on technical expert who enjoys both field-based maintenance and the digital integration of renewable energy assets. You will work within a collaborative, sustainability-focused environment that values transparent communication, professional growth, and the ongoing energy transition.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training (e.g., Electrical Technician), Master Craftsman (Meister), or University degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in high and medium voltage technology.
- Experience in interpreting electrical circuit diagrams and performing fault diagnosis.
- Experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical installations such as substations or transformer stations.
- Experience in SCADA integration and network technology.
- Experience with protective technology (Schutztechnik) is considered an advantage.
- Experience in coordinating external service providers and on-site personnel.
Languages
Additional
- Valid driver's license (Class B, ideally BE); Willingness to travel (including multi-day trips); Residence in Berlin or surrounding area; Ability to work at heights; Certification for operating aerial work platforms preferred; Holding a switching authorization for medium or high voltage is a plus.
