Job Summary

As a Wire Harness Design Engineer at Brunel, you will play a critical role in the electrical design and development of complex wiring systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing wire harnesses, creating detailed circuit diagrams, and managing the entire component lifecycle—from identification and specification to finding alternatives during supply chain shortages. You will act as a technical liaison, coordinating with suppliers, troubleshooting production-level errors, and optimizing existing designs. A key part of your role involves migrating legacy data into modern engineering systems like Zuken E³. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on technical problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an electrician, electronics technician, or electrical designer, or a university degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Vehicle Systems, Automation Technology, or Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical wire harness development is desirable
  • Technical experience in electrical system design and component specification
  • Experience with interface analysis and troubleshooting in series production
