Job Summary

As a Building Automation Planning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and managing complex technical building equipment projects for industrial, public, and private clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities include creating functional descriptions, automation schemas, and service specifications in accordance with HOAI standards. You will develop innovative automation strategies focusing on energy efficiency, sustainability, and digital integration, including Smart Building and IoT solutions. Working within interdisciplinary teams, you will coordinate interfaces between HVAC, electrical engineering, and architecture, while actively contributing to BIM models and overseeing commissioning and functional testing. This role is ideal for a professional with a background in electrical or automation engineering who is passionate about sustainable, high-tech building solutions. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree, Master Craftsman (Meister), or Technician certification in Electrical Engineering, Building Automation, or EMSR (Electrical, Measurement, and Control) Technology.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the planning, consulting, or project management of building automation projects.
  • Practical experience in project execution is highly desirable.
  • Initial experience with BIM and model-based planning workflows.
  • Proven proficiency in applying relevant industry standards and guidelines such as VDI 3814 and HOAI.
