Job Summary
As a Materials Tester, you will play a critical role in the metal industry, ensuring the quality and integrity of components through rigorous mechanical and metallographic testing. Your day-to-day responsibilities include performing tensile, compression, and hardness tests, as well as preparing samples through cutting, grinding, polishing, and etching. You will apply non-destructive testing methods, evaluate findings, and document results in formal test reports according to DIN, EN, and ISO standards. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training or further education in materials technology (Werkstofftechnik) is mandatory.
Experience
- Professional experience as a Materials Tester or a comparable qualification
- Experience in performing mechanical material tests such as tensile, compression, and hardness testing
- Experience in metallographic sample preparation including cutting, grinding, and polishing
