Job Summary

As an Electrical Technician at ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG, you will play a vital role in the construction and modernization of electronic interlocking systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the installation and modification of outdoor infrastructure, such as cable systems, switches, and signals, as well as performing construction supervision. This is a dynamic, field-based role that requires working outdoors and traveling across a defined regional territory. You will collaborate with an experienced team on long-term infrastructure projects. The position is unique because it offers a structured career path toward a Master-level qualification (Meister) in Control and Safety Technology, with all training provided during paid working hours. We are looking for a motivated individual who is ready to take on responsibility, possesses the necessary physical and mental fitness for field work, and is flexible regarding night shifts and on-call duties.

Required Skills

Education

Completed apprenticeship or vocational school education in a technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Metal Technology, or Mechanical Engineering).

Experience

  • Professional experience in a technical field such as electrical engineering, mechatronics, electronics, metal technology, or mechanical engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in outdoor environments.
  • Willingness to undertake further professional education and training.
  • Experience or aptitude for taking on responsibility within a team-based project environment.
