Job Summary

The District of Ahrweiler is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to support its 'Energy Transition Coordination' department. This role is central to driving regional climate protection and energy initiatives. Day-to-day, you will facilitate inter-municipal collaboration, manage working groups and advisory boards, and organize round-table discussions with local associations and stakeholders. You will act as a key advisor on energy concepts, provide guidance on project implementation, and foster networking among various local initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for environmental education efforts and preparing status reports for political committees. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in spatial planning, geography, or renewable energy who is passionate about sustainability and public administration. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma) in Spatial Planning, Geography, Renewable Energies, Environmental Energy Technology, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in spatial planning, geography, or renewable energy sectors
  • Experience in municipal administration is considered an advantage
  • Experience with fiscal aspects and public sector budgeting is considered an advantage
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and assertiveness in professional environments
