Job Summary
Seeking an IT Support Technician for a long-term, full-time position in Berlin. This role involves comprehensive IT support, including the setup and dismantling of IT infrastructure during installations and relocations, conducting functional tests, and maintaining detailed checklists and asset data. The technician will be responsible for hardware inventory, managing hardware repairs, troubleshooting issues when repairs are unsuccessful, and providing IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) services. Key tasks also include performing hardware upgrades, configuring IP addresses, and basic configuration of hardware and client operating systems, providing 1st and 2nd level hardware support. The ideal candidate will have a technical vocational degree or equivalent experience, strong hardware knowledge, and proficiency in multiple operating systems.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training or retraining
Experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a comparable IT support position
- Experience with Windows 7, Windows 10, or comparable operating systems (or 3 years of experience within the last 5 years)
- User experience with a ticket system
- Good hardware knowledge of common standard manufacturers
- Good knowledge of at least 2 current operating systems in the server, client, or network area
