Job Summary
In this role, you will join the municipal treasury department of Neuruppin, playing a pivotal part in establishing a robust Tax Compliance Management System. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing complex tax-related projects, specifically focusing on the implementation of updated VAT regulations effective January 2027. You will systematically analyze financial data, assess tax risks under Section 2b of the German VAT Act (UStG), and act as the primary point of contact for tax offices and external consultants. Additionally, you will support monthly and annual financial closings for municipal institutions, including the youth art school and local cultural centers. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or Diploma (FH) in Tax, Auditing, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; OR completion of the Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt) training (AII course) for the elevated civil service.
Experience
- Professional experience in tax law, auditing, finance, or business administration
- Experience in managing tax-related projects or compliance systems is highly desirable
- Experience in financial reporting or accounting within a public or private sector environment
