Job Summary

This role involves the administration and support of the P&I LOGA HR management and payroll system for the city of Mainz and municipal clients in Rhineland-Palatinate. You will be responsible for configuring modules for time management, travel expenses, applicant management, and employee self-service, as well as managing access control systems and time-tracking terminals. Your day-to-day work includes troubleshooting complex system errors, coordinating software updates, performing quality assurance testing, and providing expert consultation and training to end-users. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in IT or public administration who enjoys bridging the gap between technical infrastructure and HR processes. You will work within a certified ISO27001 data center environment, benefiting from a stable public sector contract, flexible working hours, and extensive professional development opportunities.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics; OR completed Administrative Course II; OR vocational training as an IT Specialist; OR vocational training as an Administrative Clerk (with Administrative Course I); OR vocational training as an Industrial or HR Clerk with several years of relevant experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT application support or HR software administration
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting and error documentation
  • Experience in providing user consultation and training
  • For candidates without a direct IT degree/training, several years of professional experience in HR or administrative roles is required
