Job Summary
This role involves supporting the State Office for Taxes and Finance (LSF) in managing information security and data protection across its operations, including all Saxon tax offices. The successful candidate will advise on information security and data protection, update security concepts using documentation tools, and develop and maintain relevant guidelines. Responsibilities also include reviewing implementation of security and data protection standards, assisting with new process introductions, and handling data breaches and security incidents. The position requires a proactive individual who can prepare reports, represent the LSF in expert committees, and collaborate with SAX.CERT. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Digital Administration, Information Security, Cyber Security, Administrative Informatics, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Protection, or a comparable field; OR Civil Service qualification for career group 2, first entry level (formerly higher service) with a focus on Digital Administration, General Administration, or State Finance/Tax Administration; OR Relevant vocational training (e.g., IT specialist) with at least three years of equivalent professional experience in information security.
Experience
- Professional experience in information security management and data protection
- At least three years of professional experience in information security if qualifying with vocational training
- Professional experience in information security, cyber security, or data protection (advantageous)
- Several years of experience in public administration (advantageous)
- Experience in project management or willingness to quickly learn (advantageous)

- Security clearance (Ü1) according to the Saxon Security Clearance Act (SächsSÜG) may be required. Must be able to provide proof of applied knowledge in information security management and data protection (e.g., certificates, training records). Certifications like IT-Grundschutz-Practitioner are advantageous. Knowledge of BSI standards, IT-Grundschutz-Kompendium, and other relevant regulations is advantageous. Knowledge of VIS.SAX is advantageous. Understanding of the structure of tax and/or state finance administration is advantageous. Basic knowledge of budgetary law is advantageous.
