Job Summary
As an Information Electronics Technician, you will join the workshop team of a public transport provider in Herne, Germany. Your daily responsibilities include the maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of advanced communication systems in a fleet of buses, as well as stationary passenger information and video surveillance systems. You will handle components such as on-board computers, radio modules, passenger counting systems, and ticket printers. Additionally, you will participate in technical working groups regarding vehicle procurement and the implementation of new technologies. The role requires a systematic approach to troubleshooting and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern vehicle technology and contribute to the transition toward future propulsion systems in a stable, unionized work environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Information Electronics Technician, System Electronics Technician, Electrician, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in information technology systems
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of telecommunications or electronic vehicle components is highly desirable

- Valid driver's license (Class B required, Class D preferred); willingness to work nights and weekends for special occasions.
