As a Data System Engineer at DENIC, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the technical stability and evolution of the infrastructure behind the .de domain registry. You will be responsible for the administration and development of Big Data and BI platforms, designing robust ETL/ELT processes, and building scalable backends for data products. A key part of your daily work involves integrating AI components into production environments and collaborating closely with data analysts to ensure high data quality. You will work within an agile team, managing BI tool landscapes and conducting proof-of-concept analyses for emerging technologies. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in Computer Science or Mathematics who enjoys working at the intersection of DevOps and Data Engineering. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Informatics, or an equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the operation of data pipelines and data modeling
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Solid experience in database environments including SQL and NoSQL
- Practical experience with Kubernetes and Linux system administration
- Experience with the technical integration of BI tools into data platforms
