Job Summary

As a Senior Scientist focusing on ion-trap chips, you will lead the development and testing of ion-trap devices for next-generation quantum technology. You will be responsible for establishing laboratory infrastructure, coordinating activities with industrial and academic partners within a European pilot line, and contributing to the design, simulation, and characterization of new chips. The role involves project management, securing funding, disseminating research findings, and supervising students. Required Skills

Education

PhD in physics, quantum technology, electronics engineering, or a Master's degree with relevant work experience.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in trapped-ion quantum technology
  • Professional experience in an industrial environment is an advantage
  • Professional experience in personnel management is an advantage
  • Professional experience in research project and funding acquisition
