Job Summary

This role involves working as a Technical Officer within the Central Technology department of the Police Headquarters for Operations, Logistics, and Technology in Mainz, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for standardizing, conceptualizing, and providing technical support for specialized systems such as Automatic License Plate Recognition Systems (AKLS), Bodycams, and Electro-Impulse Devices (DEIG) for law enforcement agencies across the state. Day-to-day tasks include technical consulting, conducting workshops and training, optimizing operational processes, performing market observation for new technologies, and providing second and third-level technical support. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the future of police technology by shaping modern information and organizational architectures, working with cutting-edge equipment like 3D printers, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences or university degree in Information or Communication Technology, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Experience in creating technical concepts
  • Knowledge of hardware and software in communication, video, and network technology
  • Professional experience in technical support and user training
  • Experience in project management is desirable
