Job Summary

This role involves coordinating and supporting the German states' participation in European and multilateral cooperation within education and culture. The successful candidate will primarily focus on EU education initiatives, including mobility programs like Erasmus+, the EU 2030 growth strategy, and reporting for the European Semester. Key responsibilities also extend to EU external relations, particularly ASEM/Education, and collaboration within the Council of Europe concerning education, higher education, and science. The position requires active participation in the Education Steering Committee (CDEDU) and contributing to reports and statements for the Commission for European and International Affairs of the Conference of Ministers of Science. This is a part-time, permanent position based in Berlin, offering a chance to contribute to significant policy coordination at the intersection of national and international educational governance.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (First State Examination; Diploma; Master's; Magister) in Law, Economics, Finance, Social Sciences, Administrative Sciences, or Political Sciences

Experience

  • Experience in committee-related collaboration (advisory documents, reports, statements, speech manuscripts)
  • Professional experience in administration (preferred)
  • Professional or study-related international experience (preferred)
