Job Summary

As a Technical Sales Specialist in the Environmental, Food & Safety (EFS) division, you will drive revenue growth for chromatography and mass spectrometry workflows. Your day-to-day involves identifying new market opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, and acting as a trusted advisor to key decision-makers. You will collaborate closely with Account Managers to develop sales strategies, mentor internal teams, and provide technical expertise to support complex customer solutions. This role is unique because it combines high-level commercial strategy with deep scientific engagement, allowing you to influence the adoption of cutting-edge analytical instrumentation. You will serve as a bridge between customer needs and internal R&D, ensuring that Thermo Fisher Scientific’s value proposition is effectively communicated. The position requires a candidate who is commercially driven, technically proficient in analytical instrumentation, and comfortable navigating a matrix-based, global organization to achieve ambitious sales targets.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the Environmental & Food Safety or analytical instrumentation markets.
  • Proven experience in managing complex, high-value customer accounts.
  • Experience working in a matrix-based and collaborative team environment.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies from prospecting to closing.
