Job Summary
The German Institute of Food Technologies (DIL) is seeking a Technical Assistant to join the 'Nutritional Biochemistry' department in Quakenbrück. In this role, you will support research into how food components and processing technologies impact the intestinal barrier. Your day-to-day responsibilities include cultivating and treating human cell lines, preparing samples, conducting cell biological and protein biochemical analyses, and documenting experimental workflows. Additionally, you will assist with laboratory organization, including inventory management and equipment maintenance. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a background in biology, biochemistry, or food science who enjoys practical laboratory work. You will work in an interdisciplinary environment, contributing to research on nutrition and immunology while helping to optimize laboratory protocols. The role offers the opportunity to develop new skills within a collaborative, research-focused team setting.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an MTA, BTA, CTA, or Biological Laboratory Technician, or a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Nutritional Sciences, or a related field.
Experience
- Professional experience in laboratory work
- Practical experience in cell culture, protein biochemistry, or immunological analysis is highly desirable
