Job Summary
The Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office (CVUA-RRW) in Krefeld is seeking a Laboratory Technician (VMTA, MTA, or BTA) for a two-year full-time position in the Department of Bacteriology and Mycology. In this role, you will perform microbiological analyses on food samples, including the cultivation and identification of pathogens, molecular biological testing via Real-Time PCR, and specialized assays like ELISA. You will also be responsible for laboratory equipment maintenance, documentation in the Laboratory Information System (LIS), and ensuring compliance with DIN EN ISO 17025 quality management standards. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed vocational training as a Veterinary Laboratory Technician (VMTA), Medical Laboratory Technician (MTA), or Biological Laboratory Technician (BTA).
Experience
- Professional experience in microbiological laboratory analysis
- Experience in applying Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Experience in quality management and working under DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standards
- Proficiency in PC usage and MS Office applications

- Must hold a recognized qualification as VMTA, MTA, or BTA. Position is limited to a 2-year contract. Ability to work in a public laboratory environment under the TVöD-VKA collective agreement.
