Job Summary

The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) is seeking a Project Manager to lead initiatives in regulatory reporting and mass data processing. In this role, you will oversee the conceptualization and development of central digital platforms used for the secure exchange and processing of large datasets within the financial supervision environment. You will act as a bridge between technical departments, architecture, development teams, and operations to ensure the implementation of scalable and efficient solutions. Key responsibilities include managing project lifecycles, handling budget planning and responsibility, coordinating with international working groups, and managing interfaces and data formats. This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute to European and international financial market standards while working in a collaborative, public-sector environment. The role requires a strong background in IT project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory and technical requirements. The position is based in Bonn or Frankfurt and supports flexible working models, including mobile work options.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or university diploma in Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a comparable field with a minimum grade of 'satisfactory'.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in managing IT projects for mass data processing.
  • Professional experience in coordinating between technical departments, architecture, and operations.
  • Experience in project planning, including budget management and responsibility.
  • Experience in workshop and moderation techniques is considered an asset.
