Job Summary
This role is with a family-run geotechnical engineering firm based in the Nuremberg area, specializing in soil and environmental site investigations. As a Technical Field Technician, your day-to-day work involves performing core drilling, soundings, and various soil-mechanical field and laboratory tests. You will be responsible for taking samples, maintaining technical equipment, and documenting/evaluating test results. The position is ideal for individuals with a background in construction materials testing, mechanics, or heavy equipment operation, though motivated candidates with experience as drilling or civil engineering assistants are also encouraged to apply. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Construction Materials Tester, Mechanic, Technician, or Construction Equipment Operator is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
- Professional experience in drilling or civil engineering assistance preferred
- Experience in performing core drilling and standard geomechanical field and laboratory testing preferred
- Technical background in construction materials testing, mechanics, or heavy equipment operation is advantageous
