Job Summary

As a Materials Engineer at Siemens Energy in Mülheim, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of innovative material concepts for both new installations and service applications. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve evaluating manufacturing deviation reports, creating and revising material and process specifications, and collaborating with component designers to select materials for electromagnetic and structural applications. Additionally, you will conduct complex damage analyses and root cause investigations. This position is ideal for an engineering professional with a strong background in industrial materials technology, specifically concerning steel and copper alloys. You will be based permanently at the Siemens Energy site in Mülheim, working a 35-hour week without shift changes. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor or Master degree in Materials Engineering or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in industrial materials engineering
  • Experience with non-alloyed, low-alloyed, and stainless steels
  • Experience with copper alloys
  • Experience with large steel forgings (desirable)
  • Experience with metal joining techniques (desirable)
