Job Summary
The HITS gGmbH is seeking a Medical Data Specialist to join the SDBV group as part of the NFDI4Health initiative. In this 50% part-time role, you will act as a data steward, bridging the gap between user communities and technical development. Your daily responsibilities include conceptualizing and mapping metadata models, establishing data dictionaries for health studies, and defining standardization requirements. You will work closely with software developers to implement tools and provide essential support through helpdesks and training sessions. This position is ideal for someone passionate about interdisciplinary research, as you will collaborate with data scientists and computer scientists across Germany and Europe. Required Skills
Education
University degree in medical informatics, bioinformatics, medical/life sciences, medical documentation, data science, computer science, or an equivalent field.
Experience
- Professional experience with metadata modelling and mapping data structures in the health domain
- Professional experience in structuring and analyzing medical data and metadata
- Previous experience with medical databases and mapping tools for metadata (preferred)
