Job Summary
As an IT Service Administrator at the Road Traffic Office of the Aachen City Region, you will play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of public services. Your day-to-day responsibilities include serving as a key user and administrator for specialized IT applications, managing quality assurance and internal controlling, and coordinating IT planning with central departments. You will act as a technical liaison, providing internal support for hardware and peripherals while supporting external partners. Additionally, you will lead projects for the implementation of new software, conduct staff training, and act as a pilot user for new digital solutions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys bridging the gap between administrative processes and technical implementation, specifically within the public sector. You will contribute to optimizing workflows in compliance with digital legislation (OZG) and ensure the smooth operation of essential infrastructure in a dynamic, service-oriented environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed preparatory service for career group 2, first entry level, OR completed Administrative Course II, OR Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics or a related field with an IT focus.

- Must hold a qualification equivalent to the German public service career group 2 (first entry level) or Administrative Course II. Flexibility for working hours outside standard times (e.g., for updates) is required. Role is not eligible for part-time work due to service requirements.
