Job Summary
The Federal Construction Department in Hamburg is seeking an IT Emergency Manager to oversee and advance its IT emergency management systems. In this role, you will be responsible for steering IT emergency preparedness activities, developing data protection concepts, and providing actionable recommendations for security protocols. You will collaborate closely with internal IT teams, information security officers, and external service providers to ensure the resilience of IT infrastructures supporting critical federal facilities, including hospitals and defense institutions. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT Security/Cybersecurity, Administrative Informatics, E-Government, or a related field. Alternatively, qualification for the second entry level of the second career group of the general civil service.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT emergency management or related cybersecurity fields
- 4 years of relevant professional experience at a Master's degree level for candidates without a formal Master's degree
- Experience in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in a technical environment
- Experience with IT service management and compliance processes

- Must be willing to undergo a security clearance (SÜG). Due to the nature of the work in military areas, there are nationality restrictions based on the German Security Clearance Act (SÜG). Must be a citizen of a country listed in § 13 Abs. 1 Nr. 17 SÜG.
