Job Summary
The Archdiocese of Freiburg is seeking a dedicated Biodiversity Consultant to lead strategic initiatives for the preservation and promotion of nature across church-owned properties. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing concepts for species and habitat protection, providing expert conservation advice, and ensuring that construction and maintenance projects align with ecological standards. You will manage projects from planning through to execution, conduct data analysis, and engage in public outreach to foster networking. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Master's or Diploma) in Biology with a focus on nature conservation, or a comparable field such as landscape planning or landscape ecology.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in biodiversity conservation, landscape planning, or a comparable field.
- Proven experience in the development and implementation of concepts for the protection of flora, fauna, and habitats.
- Demonstrated experience in project development and project leadership.

- Valid driver's license (Class B) is desirable. Identification with the goals and values of the Catholic Church is required.
