Job Summary

As a Primary Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the independent planning of primary components for outdoor and gas-insulated switchgear across medium, high, and extra-high voltage ranges. Your daily tasks include creating detailed technical drawings, such as layout plans, floor plans, and cross-sections, as well as managing material lists. You will perform critical technical calculations for mechanical and thermal sizing, including short-circuit analysis and sag calculations for cable and busbar systems. Furthermore, you will establish static foundations for steel and concrete structures, evaluate external technical documentation, and collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and suppliers. Required Skills

Education

Completed technical education (e.g., Technician or University degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Engineering, or a comparable qualification).

Experience

  • Professional experience in the planning of substation facilities (mandatory)
  • Practical experience in the design of gas-insulated switchgear (advantageous)
  • Experience in the planning of outdoor switchgear (alternative)
  • Experience in technical project coordination and collaboration with external stakeholders
