Job Summary
The Secretariat of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs is seeking a dedicated Linux Systems Administrator to join their central IT team in Bonn. In this permanent, full-time role, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the Linux system environment, ensuring compliance with BSI security standards. Your day-to-day tasks will include patch management, infrastructure project participation, network support, and providing 2nd-level technical support. You will also play a key role in automating processes and documenting system configurations. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in an IT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology) or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Linux system administration
- Practical experience with container technologies and automation tools
- Experience in network architectures, routing, and firewall technologies
- Experience in IT security and scripting languages like Bash or Python
- Professional experience in database administration is considered an advantage
