Job Summary

As a Project Engineer for Internal Metering Operations, you will play a pivotal role in the development, implementation, and optimization of metering technology within the energy supply networks of Berlin's public transit system. You will oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AC and DC metering systems, including remote reading (eCount). Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing projects for the renewal and new construction of metering equipment, from procurement to commissioning. You will conduct market analyses, manage tenders, perform cost-benefit evaluations, and coordinate with internal departments, external contractors, and institutions to define operational processes. This position is unique as it offers the opportunity to help build a new 6-person team within a stable, future-oriented organization, contributing directly to the sustainability of Berlin's mobility infrastructure.
