Job Summary
As a General Ledger Accountant at AUTO1 Group, you will serve as a vital part of the finance team, managing and monitoring financial transactions for German entities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include booking and documenting general ledger business transactions, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB), and ensuring the plausibility of financial reports and KPIs. You will act as a key point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders while driving process optimization projects. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex accounting issues. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Business Informatics with a focus on Accounting, Controlling, or Auditing; OR completed vocational training as a Tax Specialist (Steuerfachangestellte:r) with an additional certification as a Certified Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter IHK).
Experience
- Several years of relevant professional experience in an auditing or tax consulting firm
- Several years of professional experience in general ledger accounting for medium-sized or international companies
- Practical experience in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
