Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the development of complex antenna systems for satellite communication and space exploration. Based in Mainz, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initial system design and high-frequency (HF) design to global commissioning. Your day-to-day tasks will involve creating technical specifications, designing reflector antenna systems operating at frequencies up to 100 GHz, and developing transmission and reception chains using coaxial and waveguide technology. You will collaborate with partners to select HF components and conduct on-site system testing and commissioning worldwide. The position is ideal for an engineer with a background in electrical or telecommunications engineering who thrives in a hands-on, project-driven environment. You will work on cutting-edge space technology, including civilian and military satellite communication as well as deep-space missions, supported by a collaborative team culture.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or High-Frequency Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical or telecommunications engineering
  • Experience in high-frequency measurement technology and waveguide technology preferred
  • Experience with HF system simulation environments
  • Experience in interpreting and working with electrical schematics
