Job Summary

As an Electrical and Control Systems Technician, you will play a vital role in the decommissioning of the BER II research reactor in Berlin-Wannsee. Your daily responsibilities include performing system modifications, coordinating with various trades and external service providers, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation. You will act as an operator during day shifts, conducting fault analysis, managing recurring inspections, and executing preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability of facility systems. This position is unique as it involves specialized work in a nuclear environment, contributing to a significant decommissioning project. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a technician or equivalent qualification. Certification as an 'Elektrofachkraft' (qualified electrician) according to DGUV V3 or DIN VDE 0105-100 is highly desirable.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in electrical and control systems engineering.
  • Preferred experience in nuclear technical environments.
  • Experience in managing technical documentation and CAD/CAE software.
  • Experience in coordinating with external service providers and interdisciplinary teams.

Additional

  • Valid work permit for Germany required. Willingness to undergo specialized operator training. Knowledge of nuclear decommissioning guidelines (AtG §7) is preferred.
